Shoe Review: New Balance 900 Series

New Balance 904 Series

New Balance 904 Series

The current New Balance 90x series is one of the best out there for someone seeking a light stability trainer that can also double as a racing shoe. Granted, they are not as light as most flats, but they are perfect for marathons, half marathons, and maybe even 10k races. They are also excellent for training in. The only drawbacks are that (1), since it is a lighter shoe, it don’t have as much cushioning as actual cushioning shoes (the 106x and 88x series are two good cushioning shoes from New Balance), and (2) it will not be able to rack up as much milage as a heavier shoe.

I’ve run in series 901, 902, 903, and currently am running in 904. The 903 and 904 series are definitely the best. I only expect good things for the future of this shoe series. I ran my first marathon in a pair of the 903 series shoes, and I have no complaints. They held up remarkably well.

OVERALL: I give the 90x series of New Balance shoes 0 / 5 Chezwicks. They are that good.
