First Ariza, now Odom. Lamar Odom turned down a contract from the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers. It was a three-year contract at $9 million a year. If Odom accepted the contract he would have been making more than the newly acquired Laker, Ron Artest. Artest will be a starter next season and if Odom signs with the Lakers he will again come off the bench yet he would be making more than a starter. However, this isn’t enough for him. Odom thinks he should be getting $10 million a year for five years. Well let me tell you something Lamar. You said that you loved LA. You said that you would take a paycut to stay with the Lakers. Was that all a lie? Why don’t you want to stay with the Lakers? You’re a fan favorite. You’re playing with Kobe, Gasol, and Artest along with a ton of young guys. Stop worrying about the money and play the game and play with the team that made you relevant.
