Odom Returns

By: Dukemich

Lamar Odom finally came to his senses and agreed to a four-year deal with the fourth year being a team option. If the Lakers pick up the option his contract will be worth $33 million for four years. Finally, the Lakers have most of their team back except for Ariza but they brought in Artest to replace him. Even though the Lakers still have most of their championship team intact, they still have a couple of flaws. They still don’t have a good defending point guard and Andrew Bynum is still a question mark. If Bynum does not live up to his expectations, the Lakers don’t have a good center. Even if Bynum is good they still don’t have a backup center. Nevertheless, the Lakers accomplished what they needed to in the free-agent period. Ron Artest is an upgrade. He is tough and he’s a shut down defender. He’s also a scoring threat.

Lakers starting lineup:

PG Derek Fisher

SG Kobe Bryant

F Ron Artest

PF Pau Gasol

C Andrew Bynum

and coming off the bench, Lamar Odom
