I should have done this earlier but I’m really tired and I have work in eight hours and by the time I’m out the games will have started. I’m going to make this short and sweet. Next week will have more analysis. I couldn’t think about football for a couple days after the Packers’ crushing defeat. However, I’ve really thought about it the last three days but before I do the picks I’ll talk about the teams that played last week in a few words.

Cardinals- Escaped

Packers- Heartbreaking

Cowboys- Dominant

Eagles- Pathetic

Ravens- Scary

Patriots- Imploded

Jets- Surprising

Bengals- Flat

Now onto this week’s matchups.

Saturday 4:30 p.m.

Arizona vs. New Orleans

The Cardinals couldn’t stop the Packers. How are they going to stop the Saints? The Saints will be able to stop the Cardinals enough for the win. Are the Saints at home? Yeah.

Baltimore vs. Indianapolis

History is against the Colts. When they sit their starters the last couple weeks before the end of the season they lose. The Ravens are looking good. They only lost by two when they played in the regular season. They’re tougher than the Colts and that usually wins out in the playoffs. The defense will come to play. UPSET SPECIAL!!!

Dallas vs. Minnesota

The Cowboys have played better football than the Vikings in the last couple weeks of the season and played a great game against the Eagles. Everything is telling me to pick the Cowboys but I’ll pick the Vikings. Favre is in a dome and he won’t go down that easy. He’s still seeking the ultimate revenge against the Packers. Most of all I think the Vikings are going to stay in the playoffs simply to annoy me.

NY Jets vs. San Diego

The Jets overachieved in the first playoff game. The Chargers will show the world the Jets true colors unfortunately(Dark Knight). The Chargers haven’t lost since October. It’s a no brainer.

It’s almost time for the second best part of the sports year(#1 being March Madness). The Packers are in so I’m happy. The Vikings have a bye so I’m not happy. But enough about me, let’s go team by team and sum up what the NFL was like this year.

NFC East

Cowboys- Analysts don’t know who this team is and neither do I. They sucked and were good at some point during the year. Some feel their strong finish  has shown they are capable of winning the Super Bowl. I don’t even think they’ll make it out of the first round.

Giants- They jumped out to a fast start then faded away. This team was never really that good but they beat the suddenly “unstoppable(according to analysts)” Cowboys twice. I really hope the Cowboys lose and prove me right.

Redskins- Couldn’t beat winless teams. The franchise is in disarray.

Eagles- Up and down season as always but they will get farther in the playoffs than anyone would expect like every other year.

NFC North

Vikings- Scary team that has a good chance of winning the Super Bowl. They faded at the end a bit and almost lost the first round bye but that’s just what Brett Favre’s old arm needs.

Packers- Started off flat and lost to the Vikings twice. They hit rock bottom when they lost to the Bucs but bounced back and won 7 of their last 8 games. Watch out for the Packers. They have a great passing attack and defensive player of the year, Charles Woodson.

Lions- Still suck

Bears- Jay Cutler had a horrible season.

NFC South

Saints- They had a great year and finished with the number one seed. However, a lot of the games were not convincing and they dropped their last 3.

Panthers- They started off horrible. Then they benched Delhomme and started to play better. They finished at 8-8.They also helped the Packers secure a playoff spot. THANKS!!!!!

Falcons- They had a shot at the playoffs until Matt Ryan got hurt. They went downhill after that.

Bucs- They had a terrible year. They couldn’t find a good quarterback on their roster but they did beat the Packers and the Saints in the last game of the season.

NFC West(Horrible Division)

Cardinals- They had another inconsistent year but who cares. It’s easy to get into the playoffs in their division. Watch out for this team. Don’t forget last year.

Rams- Terrible

49ers- They good until the Vikings beat them on a lucky play. Then they collapsed.

Seahawks- Does anybody care?In case you do they sucked.

AFC North

Steelers- They lost a lot of games they shouldn’t have with or without Troy Polamalu. The injury hurt but this should have been a playoff team. The Madden curse strikes again.

Ravens- They had an up and down season but made it into the playoffs. Watch out for the Ravens. They actually have an offense.

Browns- They suck and so does Brady Quinn.

Bengals- They had a surprising and a great season. I don’t think this team could win the Super Bowl but I didn’t think they’d make the playoffs either.

AFC East

Patriots- They are not a typical Patriots team. They did get into the playoffs but I can’t see them winning the Super Bowl.

Jets- The Jets aren’t good. I can’t believe they made the playoffs. Rivas is an excellent cornerback but Sanchez is a rookie and it shows.

Dolphins- They started off the season with a losing streak but then Chad Pennington got hurt and was replaced with another Chad. With Chad Henne leading the way the Dolphins improved and had a chance to make the playoffs. Henne’s my boy.

Bills- T.O. didn’t help.

AFC South

Colts- They had a great year. They might have gone undefeated but they sat their starters. I don’t agree but we’ll see if it works out.

Texans- Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAD A WINNING SEASON!!!!!!!!! YOU HAD A CHANCE TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!!!!!! BUT YOU DIDN’T!!!!!!! BUT STILL GOOD FOR YOU, GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Titans- They lost their first six games then decided to start Vince Young. With Young leading the offense the Titans went 8-2 and almost got back into the playoff picture.

Jaguars- They had an up and down season but it was mostly down. Does anybody actually like Jacksonville?

AFC West

Broncos- They started off the season with everything going their way. They started off 6-0. The second half of the season they went 2-8. YIKES!!!!

Chargers- They started off the season 2-3 and looked like the inconsistent Chargers of old. Then they put together 11 straight wins. 11 STRAIGHT VICTORIES TO END THE SEASON. This team is scary and have a great chance at winning the Super Bowl.

Raiders- Terrible

Chiefs- Even worse

All right that was the 32 team wrap up of the season. Now let’s talk about the playoffs. I’ll make the picks. Remember how well that went?

Jets vs. Bengals

I have to go with the Bengals here even though the Jets destroyed them last week. The Bengals really didn’t care and sat their starters in the second half. I don’t know why people think the Jets are good all of a sudden. They are the same team that embraced mediocrity throughout the season.

Eagles vs. Cowboys

Didn’t the Cowboys beat the Eagles last week 24-0? Yep! Didn’t they beat them twice this year? Yep! Are they going to win? NO. The Cowboys had a good finish to the season but don’t be fooled. The Cowboys were mediocre throughout the season. So were the Eagles but they always bring it when the playoffs begin. Andy Reid has never lost a first round game. It’s hard enough to beat a team twice in the season. It’s even harder to beat a team three times. Also the Cowboys haven’t won a playoff game since 1996. In the last 14 years the Eagles have been there while the Cowboys have not.

Ravens vs. Patriots

This is a difficult game to pick. I can see either team pulling this off but neither will win the Super Bowl. As the season ends it appears that the Ravens are the better team but you can never count the Patriots out. The Ravens now have an offense but have less of a defense. The Patriots lost their best receiver, Wes Welker, in the last game of the season. It’s not looking good for the Patriots. Maybe if Tom Brady cries for a penalty for a Raven falling at his feet the Patriots will have a better chance.

Packers vs. Cardinals

As a Packer fan I’m scared of the Cardinals but eventually their inconsistency has to catch up with them. The Packers won 7 of their last 8 games. They’ve played great in the second half of the season. They did destroy the Cardinals last week but the Cardinals didn’t play their starters. If the Packers protect Aaron Rodgers and limit their penalties they should once again beat the Cardinals. However, last year the Cardinals came out of nowhere and probably should have won the Super Bowl. Hopefully the Packers will be ready and stay focused.

Well, I went 10-6 last week, which is far less than impressive, but I don’t owe anybody candy bars because I put the number of wins I needed so as low as possible. What a horrible sentence? Anyway last week the Packers, Cowboys, and Broncos won on Thanksgiving. The Eagles and Falcons survived scares from two weak teams. The Colts and Saints remain undefeated at 11-0. The Saints were much more impressive in beating the Patriots. I thought the Patriots would blow them out by 30. It turns out I was wrong as I have been on many occasions. The Steelers didn’t have Roethlisberger and lost to the Ravens who think they’re really good now. The game of the week was the Titans Cardinals game. Once again Matt Leinart had to sit on the sideline and watch Vince Young drive down the field and score. Young drove the Titans 99 yards for the game-winning touchdown. Vince Young? Five straight? Good for him.

As for the playoff picture, the Colts have already clinched the AFC South. The Saints will clinch the NFC South shortly. Unless Brett Favre’s arm falls off and the Packers make a miraculous comeback the Vikings will clinch the NFC North in a couple weeks. The Chargers have won six straight and are a game up on the Broncos so they’re looking good right now but who knows with that team and who knows with the Broncos. I’d say with how the Chargers are playing right now they’ll win the AFC West. The Bengals are now two games up in the AFC North and they have the tiebreaker against the Steelers and the Ravens so I think they have locked up the division. The Patriots will win the AFC East not because they have an awesome team. The Jets, Bills, and Dolphins just suck. The Cowboys are leading the NFC East by a game over the Eagles. I’ll stick with the Eagles to comeback in that division because I picked them at the beginning of the year. Finally, the Cardinals will win the NFC West because they are simply the best team in that division.

As for the NFC Wild Card picture if the season ended today the Packers and the Eagles would be in the playoffs. The only two teams that I can see challenge them are the Falcons and the Giants at 6-5. Of course I haven’t factored in the schedules. I don’t think the Packers have any easy games left on the schedule. I’ll say Packers and…well I said the Eagles would win the division so that means the Cowboys would have the other wild card spot. Either way I think both teams will make the playoffs.

The AFC Wild Card picture is much more interesting. If the season ended today the Broncos would definitely be in but I’m sure who has the tiebreaker for the other spot because there are three teams at 6-5(Ravens, Steelers, Jaguars) and four teams at 5-6(Titans, Jets, Dolphins, Texans). If the Titans came back and made the playoffs it would be one of the greatest stories in the history of the NFL. They can do it but they have the Colts next week. I’ll stick with the Broncos and the Steelers sneaking into the playoffs. Let’s do the PICKS!!

Thursday Night Game(The one we can’t watch)

NY Jets vs. Buffalo

You better come through for me Jets. I’m actually picking you this week. You are  the better team.

Sunday at 1 p.m.

Philadelphia vs. Atlanta

I’m not even going to say it this week. Maybe if I say the opposite. The Eagles are going to eek out a victory on a last second field. Maybe now they’ll win by 50. It’s coming. It’s coming.

St. Louis vs. Chicago

I want to pick the Rams on this one because the Bears have played awful but sorry St. Louis you just do not know how to play the game.

Detroit vs. Cincinnati

The win will get the Bengals one step closer to a division title.

Oakland vs. Pittsburgh

Big Ben is playing. They know what they have to do. They’re going to do it. They’re the Steelers. They have to start playing like the Steelers at some point.

Tennessee vs. Indianapolis

If Jeff Fisher gives this speech before the game the Titans will win. The Colts are due to lose. They just keep eeking(I use the word eek a lot. I don’t even know if that’s a word.) out victories.

Denver vs. Kansas City

The Broncos are better.

New England vs. Miami

Maybe I should have used the Independence Day speech for the Patriots. That would have made more sense but trust me they won’t need any inspiration in this game.

New Orleans vs. Washington

I can’t wait to see Invictus, Avatar, and Sherlock Holmes back to back to back.

Tampa Bay vs. Carolina

Daylight come and you, oh nevermind he sucks but the Panthers win.

Houston vs. Jacksonville

It’s time for the Jaguars to step up at home. The Texans will have a let down after losing to the Colts yet again.

I find it sad that the best movie I’ve seen since Inglourious Basterds is New Moon. It’s not even because New Moon was this fantastic movie. It was good but it’s just that all the other movies sucked…except Ninja Assassin and Law Abiding Citizen was ok. Why didn’t we review Law Abiding Citizen? Instead we reviewed all the crap.

Dallas vs. NY Giants

It’ll be like little Giants except the Cowboys win at the end.

San Francisco vs. Seattle

In the first meeting the 49ers pounded the Seahawks. This game will be no different.

Sunday Night Football(The one with horrible commentary)

Minnesota vs. Arizona

Are the Vikings playing a team with a winning record? My God!! They’ll still win.

Monday Night Football(The one with Jon Gruden picking one player and praising him the entire game for no reason)

Baltimore vs. Green Bay

Both teams need it. It should be a good game. After the embarrassing loss to Tampa Bay the Packers have won three straight. If they play the way they are capable of playing they’ll make it four. They’ve really changed their attack by throwing in screens so Rodgers isn’t getting hit as much and Ryan Grant is starting to run.

10-6 or candy. I’ve talked enough.

I thought week 5 would be easy to pick but I went 8-6. I was completely wrong. This moved my overall record to 53-23. The Bengals are on top of the AFC North division. Let me say that again. The Bengals are on top of the AFC North division. In a division with the Steelers and the Ravens the Bengals are on top of the AFC North. The Jets lost to the Dolphins. Suddenly Chad Henne(Michigan alum) has led them to victory and is 2-0. Denver is still winning. I don’t know how but they pull it off week after week. The Browns won there first game of the season 6-3 in the greatest game ever played. So that means the teams that are 5-0 are the Broncos, Colts, Giants, that other team that I really hate, and the Saints are 4-0. The Packers didn’t lose this week so that’s a plus I guess but they didn’t play and still lost a half game on that team that’s leading the NFC North. Quick to the picks before I start ranting about nothing.

Houston vs. Cincinnati

The Bengals will continue to surprise. They are on top of the AFC NORTH.

Detroit vs. Green Bay

Please win this game. It’s the Lions.

Baltimore vs. The Team Who Must Not Be Named

The Ravens will be upset about its loss to the Bengals. And they are so much better than the home team.

NY Giants vs. New Orleans

Great game here but the Saints have shown that they could win the game on offense and defense. They could be one of the best teams in the NFL.

Cleveland vs. Pittsburgh

The Steelers haven’t been playing great but they keep playing awful teams. It helps to get wins when your top defensive player(maybe the best in the league) is out for a few weeks.

Carolina vs. Tampa Bay

Both teams are bad but I believe the Panthers are at least a little better.

Kansas City vs. Washington

The Redskins will do enough.

St. Louis vs. Jacksonville

The Jaguars are better but they got hammered by the Seahawks last week. That’s what makes this a tough pick ’cause you never know what you’re gonna get with the Jaguars.

The Eagles have been beating bad teams and looking good doing it.

The Bills are terrible and the Jets aren’t happy about losing to Miami on Monday.

I’ve picked against the Broncos all year. I’m going to do it again. I’ve hated the Broncos ever since they beat the Packers in the Super Bowl in 1998 but I think I’m over that now considering it’s a completely different team. I want them to keep winning because it’s a great story but they have to lose at some point. They will lose against their division rival. The Chargers always come up big in random games during the year. This will be one of them. Will I ever learn?

Hopefully, my sports week will be better this week. Last week the Packers lost, the Cardinals were swept out of the playoffs, and Michigan lost a close game to Iowa.

But this isn’t just about me. Good luck sports fans. I hope your team wins this week. Unless you like the Bears, Lions, Dodgers, Buckeyes, and The Team That Must Not Be Named and other teams that I just don’t feel like listing.

I did a lot better in week 3 with a record 13-3. This improves my overall record to 35-13. However, in week 3 I made the greatest call that I’ve ever made in my life. I hate to sound cocky because I’m not but I will be in this post. I picked the Lions over the Redskins and they came through and won. The Lions haven’t won a game since 2007. You just have to be happy for the fans in Detroit. That must feel incredible. They value the things that other fans take for granted sometimes. One of those things is winning. Some fans including myself will be upset if their team doesn’t make the playoffs. They’ll even get upset if their team loses in the Super Bowl. Well at least your team won a game. At least you had some good times because the Lions didn’t have any. Also, Michigan is playing great with a 4-0 start so Detroit can be happy for at least a couple weeks.

Week 3 made me hate Brett Favre even more. He throws a ball up in the endzone and his receiver makes a spectacular catch but Brett Favre gets all the praise. He looked exhausted and old during that game. You know why? Because he is. Just wait til about week 8 when he just can’t do it anymore just like last year. Rodgers will get his chance to prove that he’s better than Favre this week. I can’t wait for that game. Pick time!!!

Detroit vs. Chicago

The Bears are playing well right now and the Lions will not win two in a row. You got your one win Detroit be happy.

Cincinnati vs. Cleveland

The Bengals should be 3-0 and the Browns are horrible. Therefore the Bengals will get the victory.

Seattle vs. Indianapolis

The Colts have Peyton Manning. The Seahawks don’t.

NY Giants vs. Kansas City

The Giants should not even have to fly out to Kansas City to play this one. They should just get the automatic victory.

Baltimore vs. New England

Excellent game, right now the Ravens are playing better but at home the Patriots will make a statement.

Tampa Bay vs. Washington

Horrible game, I’ll give it to the home team even though they lost to the Lions last week.

Tennessee vs. Jacksonville

The Titans are not looking good right now and neither are the Jaguars but the Titans have to win sometime…Right?

Oakland vs. Houston

DISGUSTING!!!! Texans win.

NY Jets vs. New Orleans

Ah a good game between undefeated teams. Will the Jets defense be able to slow down Drew Brees? They’ll stop him but not enough.

Buffalo vs. Miami

The Dolphins’ season last year was a fluke and now they’re without Chad Pennington. Bills win.

St. Louis vs. San Francisco

The 49ers.

Dallas vs. Denver

This is a tough one. I might have picked the Broncos on the air on WSUR but I have to go with the Cowboys. Denver’s hot streak will end and they will realize that its quarterback is Kyle Orton.

San Diego vs. Pittsburgh

The Steelers have let me down so far this season but I’m picking them again because they haven’t lost at home.

Green Bay vs. Minnesota

The Packers will be hyped up and Aaron Rodgers will have a dominant performance against the man that once said that he didn’t want to mentor Rodgers. All the Packers have to do is STOP AP. Then I’m sure that the Vikings will REMEMBER FOREVER THE NIGHT THEY PLAYED THE PACKERS. That’s a “Remember the Titans” quote. Here’s some more for absolutely no reason.

I went 9-7 in week 2. Compared to week 1 I didn’t do so well. So far this season I’ve gone 22-10 but hopefully this week I’ll do better.

We had some good games in week 2 but my teams didn’t do so well. The Packers lost to the Bengals at home and Chad Johnson, sorry it’s Chad Ochocinco now, did the Lambeau Leap. You see the Packers have this thing where they’re losing by double-digits with a couple minutes left in the game. So as a fan you’ve accepted that the Packers will lose and you give up on the game. However, you keep checking the game just to make sure they’re finished. It’s at that point when they do something that makes you think that they have a shot. For instance in week 2 they were down 10 with under two minutes to play. However, the Packers marched down the field and kicked a quick field goal to cut the lead to seven. So as a fan you say ok let’s see if they get the onside kick(which will probably never happen). Next thing you know the Packers execute the greatest onside kick in the history of the NFL. So you say hey they got a shot at this. So with less than a minute left the Packers call two horrible plays in a row. As a fan you start to lose hope but here come the Packers. They get the first down, run up, and spike it because they had no timeouts. At this point they could take some shots at the endzone. So as a fan you’re thinking ok this is possible. Now there’s about 16 seconds remaining, no timeouts and they’re on the 30 or 40ish yard-line. Rodgers throws it to the middle of the field to the 10 yard-line to Jennings(I think). However, the Packers have to get to the line and spike it before they’re out of time. So they’re running up to the line and I’m screaming at the TV. Rodgers snaps the ball with one second left on the clock. Flags are thrown. Jermichael Finley had been standing at the line of scrimage for about five seconds but he didn’t get down in his stance fast enough. Because of the 10 second run-off for an offensive player being offsides under two minutes the game ended. What a tease.

Anyway my second favorite team, the Titans, is now 0-2 after losing to the Texans. I think I said enough about the Packers so I won’t say anything about the Titans except that Chris Johnson is nasty!!!

The Dolphins, Colts game was entertaining. The Colts moved to 2-0 while the Dolphins fell to 0-2. The Giants prevailed over the Cowboys in the new stadium with the highest attendance ever. The Eagles didn’t play well without McNabb and Raiders defeated the Chiefs in the greatest game ever(sarcasm). Let’s just get to the picks.

Washington vs. Detroit

Now is the time. The Lions will win for the first time in a long time. C’mon Detroit I’m going out on a limb for you.

Green Bay vs. St. Louis

The Packers have to figure out who they are and it starts here. They have to beat teams like this if they expect to make the playoffs and so I don’t have to give Kyle Calvey $25.

San Francisco vs. Minnesota

Crap!!! The Vikings get to 3-0.

Atlanta vs. New England

The Patriots will recover from a tough loss against a team led by a rookie and a first-year head coach.

Tennessee vs. NY Jets

The Jets with a rookie quarterback and a first-year head coach will not start the season 3-0. The team that had the best record in the AFC last year will not start the season 0-3.

Kansas City vs. Philadelphia

The E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES will recover from from last week’s loss no matter who the quarterback is.

NY Giants vs. Tampa Bay

The Giants will get off to 3-0 start, which is important in the NFC East.

Cleveland vs. Baltimore

The Ravens are better.

Jacksonville vs. Houston

The Texans will keep it going at home.

New Orleans vs. Buffalo

The Saints behind the arm of Drew Brees will crush the Bills.

Chicago vs. Seattle

Coming off a great win against the Steelers, the Bears will unfortunately keep it up against the Seahawks.

Miami vs. San Diego

The Chargers will end any hope for the Dolphins of making the playoffs.

Last week I had a pretty good start to the season with an overall record of 13-3. If Kyle Orton didn’t complete that ridiculous pass to Brandon Stokely I would’ve been 14-2. There were some great games in week 1. The Steelers, Titans game went into overtime with the Steelers coming out on top. They should’ve won the game in regulation but Hines Ward fumbled on the five yard line extending the game. Of course the Bengals, Broncos game when Orton threw a pick but the Bengal defender couldn’t keep his feet inbounds so it was an incomplete pass. Then he threw a pass into three Bengal defenders who tipped the ball directly to Brandon Stokely who ran for the game-winning touchdown. Also, the Packers, Bears game went down to the wire. It wasn’t pretty but the Packers got it done late with a pass from Aaron Rodgers to Greg Jennings. Al Harris picked off Jay Cutler to secure the victory for the Packers. Finally, Tom Brady got back on track with a comeback victory over the Bills. Jake Delhomme has nine picks in his last two games. Let’s get to week 2.

Carolina vs. Atlanta

The Falcons get to 2-0 as the Panthers try to get back on track.

Minnesota vs. Detroit

The Lions are still a bad team. Unfortunately, the Vikings behind Adrian Peterson and not Favre will get to 2-0.

Cincinnati vs. Green Bay

The Packer offense will get going this week and get to 2-0.

Houston vs. Tennessee

The Titans will beat the Texans who looked awful against the Jets.

Oakland vs. Kansas City

Another battle between two bad teams. The home team will win.

New England vs. NY Jets

The Patriots will show the Jets that they are the beast of the AFC East.

New Orleans vs. Philadelphia

The Eagles will be without McNabb and that will hurt them against a team with a solid quarterback(Drew Brees) who threw six touchdowns last week.

St. Louis vs. Washington

The Redskins will win at home.

Arizona vs. Jacksonville

The Cardinals had an embarrassing loss against the 49ers. They have to make up for it.

Tampa Bay vs. Buffalo

As seen on Monday the Bills will find a way to lose.

Seattle vs. San Francisco

The 49ers will get off to an unusual 2-0 start.

Pittsburgh vs. Chicago

The Packers picked Cutler off four times. The Steelers have one of the best defenses in the league with or without Troy Polamalu. I’ll be surprised if the Bears score.

Baltimore vs. San Diego

The Ravens will win over the Chargers who had an unimpressive victory over the Raiders.

Cleveland vs. Denver

The Broncos will win again after a lucky victory against the Bengals. After all they are playing the Browns.

NY Giants vs. Dallas

Maybe the Cowboys will kick it off the scoreboard but they will win.

Indianapolis vs. Miami

Once again Miami’s season last year was a fluke. The Colts will win.

I suggest you listen to the clip above while you look at the picks. It is the music from the greatest show of all-time, “NFL Primetime”, that doesn’t exist anymore. It was replaced by “Football Night in America” on NBC. It was one of the saddest days of my life.

Finally, the NFL season is here. We’ve got a great game to start off the year with the Titans vs. Steelers. Basically what I will do is just pick a straight-up winner with no lines involved and maybe say a little something underneath about the match-up. I will BOLD who I think the winner will be.

Titans vs. Steelers

Pittsburgh will not lose its first game at home. They are too good especially at Hines Field. Tennessee has lost Albert Haynesworth which will hurt its defensive attack.

Dolphins vs. Falcons

We will soon find out that Miami’s playoff run last year was a fluke.

Denver vs. Cincinnati

Both teams are dysfunctional. Look for the Bengals to steal one.

Minnesota vs. Cleveland

This is when Favre still has his arm. The Vikings will pick up a win in Cleveland.

Jacksonville vs. Indianapolis

Look for the Colts to take control of the AFC South again.

Detroit vs. New Orleans

Don’t worry the Lions will win, but give it a little time.

Dallas vs. Tampa Bay

No TO, no problem.

Philadelphia vs. Carolina

The Eagles are consistently a contending team whereas the Panthers are up and down. Carolina made the playoffs last year, ergo; they will suffer this year whether it’s injuries or just an off year.

Kansas City vs. Baltimore

The Ravens have a great defense as always and the offense is coming around with Flaco as the quarterback.

NY Jets vs. Houston

The Texans are due for a decent season. It starts here.

Washington vs. NY Giants

The Giants will get it done at home.

San Francisco vs. Arizona

The Cardinals will score 100 points on the 49ers and I’ll say again Fitzgerald is nasty.

St. Louis vs. Seattle

The battle of bad teams ends with the home team coming out on top.

Sunday Night Game

Chicago vs. Green Bay

The Packers are the best team in the NFC North and they will prove it Sunday.

Monday Night Games

Buffalo vs. New England

The Bills are no match for the Patriots. TO will not help.

San Diego vs. Oakland

The Raiders are a mess. The Chargers will take care of business.

Like Kobe Bryant before him, Ben Roethlisberger is being charged with sexual assault. He faces a civil lawsuit that he sexually assaulted a woman who was working as an executive casino host. She claims Roethlisberger called her to fix his televsion, then he blocked the door, and raped her. She claims she needed treatment for depression, but only decided to file a lawsuit now. In happened at a celebrity golf tournament on Lake Tahoe in Roethlisberger’s Harrah penthouse suite. She wants $440,000 minimum.

Well, I think this is bullshit just like the Kobe Bryant case. Ok, let’s use our brains here. A young woman gets seduced by a superstar. How would you react if a superstar wanted to have sex with you? Later, she may regret the decision if it violated her morals or if she already had a boyfriend/husband. The cop out: call it RAPE! That way, she gets money AND off the hook. Genius! Too bad it only took her a whole year to put the idea together. A little late huh?

Kobe Bryant didn’t rape anyone. Ben Roethlisberger didn’t rape anyone. They both had sex with women. Both women now regret their one night stand. PUH LEASE! I’m a big Steeler fan so I’m biased, what do you guys think?

1973-2009

Former NFL MVP Steve McNair died of a fatal gunshot wound Saturday. McNair played for the Houston Oilers/ Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens. McNair played 13 seasons and  made the Pro Bowl 3 times. He lead the Titans to the Super Bowl in 2000 and fought hard in one of the greatest
Super Bowls ever. In 2003, he shared the MVP award with Peyton Manning. He was one of the league’s toughest quarterbacks. He often played with injuries and wasn’t afraid to take a hit. He was one of the league’s most dynamic quarterbacks because he could run and pass effectively. He’s one of my favorite players of all-time and is the reason that I like the Titans. Steve McNair is dead at the age of 36.
